# MCP server

Connect Claude, Cursor, VS Code, or your own agent to OSINTverse over the Model Context Protocol and run OSINT lookups with a daily spend cap.

The OSINTverse MCP server lets an AI agent run the same lookups you can run in SearchIn and file them into Cases. It speaks the Model Context Protocol over Streamable HTTP at one endpoint:

```text
https://osintverse.com/mcp
```

> Paid lookups spend prepaid credits at the published per-lookup prices. Every agent is limited by a daily cap, $5 by default, that you set on the consent screen and can change under **Dashboard → API keys → Agents**.

## What you get

* **Fourteen tools**, split into free reads (`list_providers`, `quote_search`, `quote_bulk_search`, `get_search`, `list_cases`, …), paid lookups (`run_search`, `run_bulk_search`), and case writes (`create_case`, `add_searches_to_case`). See the [tool reference](https://osintverse.com/docs/mcp/tools).
* **Two resources**: `osintverse://providers` (catalog with prices) and `osintverse://pricing` (markdown table).
* **Three prompts**: `investigate_email`, `investigate_username`, `investigate_domain`, each a quote → run → file workflow with a budget.
* **Guardrails on the server**: a daily cap per workspace and per agent, provider allowlists, team policy, and audit rows that never store query text. See [Security](https://osintverse.com/docs/mcp/security).

## Who it is for

* **People who work in Claude, Cursor, or VS Code** and want lookups without switching tabs. Sign in with OAuth; the consent screen asks which wallet to bill and how much the agent may spend per day.
* **Developers building agents** with the Messages API or any MCP client. Send an `ov_` API key as a bearer token; it bills the same wallet as the REST API and counts toward the same cap.

## Try it without an account

A demo endpoint returns fixed sample results and never bills:

```text
https://osintverse.com/mcp/demo
```

It exposes `list_providers`, `quote_search`, `demo_search`, and `get_search` over the same protocol, so you can check that your client connects before you sign in.
