How does implementation work?
There is nothing to install and no project plan. Here is the setup path for a solo investigator, a team, a developer, and an agent.
Implementation is a sign-in, not a project. One investigator is searching in minutes. A team owner creates a team, tops up a shared wallet, invites people with roles, and optionally turns on company SSO, MFA enforcement, a provider allowlist, and a spend cap the same day. Developers create an API key and follow a five-minute quick start. Agents connect to the MCP server with OAuth.
Solo investigator
Sign in with a magic link. The welcome wizard offers a short tour and an optional 15-minute founder call; both can be skipped. Top up when you are ready, pick an identifier, and run the sources that support it. Save the result into a Case so the trail survives the browser tab.
- Magic-link account, no password and no card
- Live demo first if you want to see real results before paying
- Top up from $10 in Stripe Checkout
- Every lookup lands in a Case you can reopen, export, and share
Team or company desk
One owner creates the team from Dashboard, then switches into the team workspace. Invites go out by email with a role attached. Owners, admins, and billing roles top up the shared wallet; members and analysts search against it; auditors export history.
The enterprise section of the Team page holds the controls your security team will ask about. Company SSO over OIDC works with Okta, Entra ID, Google Workspace, and similar. You can require SSO for your domain, require authenticator MFA before anyone searches, allowlist providers, and set a monthly spend cap in UTC. Turn on SSO enforcement only after one admin has signed in through it.
| Role | What it does |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything: invites, billing, keys, invoices, ownership transfer, delete team |
| Admin | Invites, billing, team keys, invoices; cannot delete or transfer the team |
| Member | Search against the team wallet and see team history |
| Analyst | Same as member; named for investigation desks |
| Billing | Top up and invoices only |
| Auditor | Export search audit; cannot search, invite, or change billing |
Developer
Create an API key under the workspace that should pay. Keys start with ov_ and are shown once. Call GET /v1/providers for live input types and prices, then POST /v1/search with a provider, input type, and query. Synchronous providers return the completed result; asynchronous ones return a poll URL. The Python SDK wraps all of it with wait=True. Bulk search submits many identifiers in one request.
- Personal keys bill you; team keys bill the team
- Invalid provider and input pairs return HTTP 422 before any charge
- API automation is not blocked by MFA; human search in the UI is
- Audit export and Activity show every API charge next to app charges
Agent or MCP client
Claude, Cursor, VS Code, ChatGPT, and your own agents connect to the MCP server at osintverse.com/mcp. Connection uses OAuth 2.1 with a consent screen where you set a daily cap for that client and the price above which paid calls must be confirmed. An API key works as a bearer token instead. Every tool call is written to a ledger you can read on the dashboard, and you can detach an agent at any time.
Migrating from other tools
There is no data import, because there is nothing to migrate: OSINTverse queries live sources rather than hosting a copy of your old results. Keep the tools you already pay for. Most teams run SearchIn next to Maltego or a vendor portal for the sources it covers, then export JSON, CSV, or PDF into whatever system holds the case.

FAQ
Implementation, answered
Is there an onboarding fee or professional services?
No. Onboarding is self-serve. A free 15-minute founder call is offered during the welcome wizard and after GraphIn access, and the enterprise onboarding guide in the docs is written for your IT or security team.
Does company SSO cost extra?
No. Company SSO, MFA enforcement, provider allowlists, and spend caps are part of Teams, which has no seat fee.
Can we start with personal accounts and move to a team later?
Yes. Personal accounts stay separate until you join a team. Switching workspaces changes which wallet pays; personal history and keys stay personal.
What do I need to give my identity provider admin?
Your work email domain, the OIDC issuer URL, a client ID and secret, and a redirect URI of the form https://osintverse.com/api/auth/sso/callback/{providerId}. The enterprise onboarding doc lists the exact steps.
