UNREDACTED Magazine
Michael Bazzell, IntelTechniques
A quarterly PDF magazine of long privacy and OSINT articles. The first seven issues are free; later ones are paid per issue with no subscription. Dense, opinionated, and worth the download.
UNREDACTED runs sixty to eighty pages and about eighteen articles per issue: packet capture on home firewalls, GrapheneOS and iOS privacy settings, stealer-log alternatives, AI for monitoring privacy policies, uncensored models for OSINT. Issues one to seven, from 2022 to 2024, are free and community-written; from issue eight in 2025 they are written in-house, ad-free, and sold per issue.
Worth it if
- You liked the author's books and want the between-editions updates
- You care about your own device and network privacy as much as investigation
- You prefer long technical articles to short newsletter items
Skip it if
- You want timely news; it is a quarterly PDF
- You want OSINT only; roughly half the content is privacy and security
- You dislike paying per issue
